The holidays are over and 2009 is already underway. I hope that the season was joyful for you, and that the upcoming year brings you every success and happiness. There’s always a melancholy to taking down the tree and putting away all those “stuffs” . But it’s exciting, too. I am hopeful that the year ahead will be a time of new beginnings, positive changes, and better times for everyone.
There are a few things I’d like to share about my upcoming 2009!
New Releases
On April 28, BLACK OUT (Three Rivers Press/ Vintage Black Lizard/ simultaneous trade/ mass market editions) will release in paperback! There’s a great new cover that I’ll share soon. And hopefully, the release will coincide with some news about the film. This month the producers who optioned BLACK OUT start meeting at studios with Austin Chick’s “take,” meaning his ideas about how the screenplay will be written. It’s thrilling to have such great people attached to the project. I’m sending them positive energy and I hope you will, too.
On June 2, the new novel DIE FOR YOU will release. I’m not going to say too much about it now, but I will be blogging about it in the weeks to come, so stay turned. I’ll also be sharing the stunning cover as soon as it’s final. It’s really gorgeous and I can’t wait to show it to you.
On the Road
I’ll be on the road this year. The tour is not set yet, but I’ll likely be doing appearances in Florida, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. There’s also a chance I’ll be getting over to the west coast, which I haven’t done in a couple of years. So stay tuned here as things firm up in the months ahead. If you’re a bookseller, send me your appearance request now and I’ll forward it along to my publicist.
Giveaway
On Facebook, I’m giving away four $25 bookseller gift cards (the winners may select their choice of IndieBound, chain or online bookseller) in a drawing for people who join my fan page . I’ll be making a random selection from the names on February 1. So, if you’re already on Facebook, I hope you will become a fan! And, don’t worry, MySpace friends, I’ll be doing something for you, too, in the months ahead.
So stay tuned, stay in touch, and Happy New Year! I’m looking forward to seeing you in 2009 – online and in the real world, too!
